i love FOLLOWING the FAINT AND secret TRAIL THAT calls out to me, purposefully choosing a PATH into the mystery that offers NO CERTAIN DESTINATION, no known outcome. what i love is THE SPIRALING JOURNEY of the creative process itself. anything that i create IN THIS WAY serves as evidEnce OF A WILLING AND WILLFUL DIVE TAKEN, confirmation OF HAVING been lost for a while in the luxury of letting gO, of TAKING THE HAND of the muse, of having been intentionally SWEPT AWAY...... only later discovering where i'VE finally endED up, WHAT I HAVE Created.

i began to decipher long ago how the creative process operates within me, and continue to see that it is always evolving; there is always more to uncover, excavate, discover, and shine light upon.

this is most vividly evident in my work as a writer, puppet maker, character creator, and storytelling puppeteer. How any idea ever becomes what it ultimately becomes in the end is a true mystery, and i am in awe of that mystery.

what i do know is that creative desire and determination take over, and then the "muse" comes calling, embodied in the characters themselves. i have learned over time how they arrive carrying the heart of a story within them, and once i move out of the way, they reveal it to me... in a magical alchemy of co-creation.

My original art cards are images from large paintings mostly done while living in mexico. the card series 'mandala mujer' is comprised of images created while living in argentina.

my small canvases are compositions that combine previous works using collage, one of my favorite mediums and methods.

the first hand painted prayer flags that i ever made were for a shrine dedicated to my mother and i have continued to make them ever since. they are in keeping with the tibetan tradition of sending prayers to be cARRIED BY wind ENERGIES, intended as PERSONAL PRAYER AND AS a blessing for all mankind.

below is a small sampling of my family of images......
